Individual kayak tour at K?onecznica river
This river
is only 27km long and it connects with Zbrzyca river on it’s 10km near Laska
village. K?onecznica has it’s routs in village Studzienice. You can paddle
through the whole length of the river. At beginning it goes though the lakes
than through fields and wet lands near villages Zapce? and K?onecznica.
Beautiful views are likely to meet just after lake Kielskie
and near village Laska, there is trout farm. Just before river gets to Zbrzyca
it starts to have stronger stream and sometimes You can feel as if You were
paddling in mountain river.
Part
Studzienice – Sztoltmany: about 15km by river and lakes. It starts on the
Studzieniczno lake. This is a very long lake with very high banks (even for
couple meters), we are heading on the south-west passing K??czno lake, than
Ry?skie lake and on this lake we have to carry our kayaks on the bank, because
there is dangerous place. After few slow moves of our paddles among wet meadows
we get to lake Ma?e and than to village called Hamer M?yn where we need to
carry our kayaks again next to the sawmill. We are passing few collapsed trees
and lots of branches in the water we will finally get to Kielskie lake, which
has 140ha of area, and we are heading straight looking for the estuary hidden
in the rushes, it is on the right side of the lake. After few moves of the
paddles we go slowly with the stream trough the valley full of trees, after
passing some obstacles we paddle under small bridge. Slowly the character of
the river is changing and we are going through more farming area until the
bridge
in the village Sztoltmany. Than the river becomes small river with
faster stream. The view is worth of sin. Both banks are full of trees with
leafs touching the water. After passing another bridge we are entering in to
the forest. Near to Budy village there is a weir just
before the trout farm, bifurcation. If we paddle straight we will meet fence,
so we need to carry our kayaks on the right bank walking trough the bushes.
Other solution is to move kayaks into right side just after the water gate and
go with very strong stream.

Unfortunately there is not always enough water in the river to paddle.
In the worst case we would have to drag our kayaks. Despite of it this part of
the river is worth of every effort. With higher level of the water the stream
is very fast and requires from the kayaker some experience and good
orientation, on the bottom of the river there are big rocks. Water is damming
up and surging. After passing the bridge and trout farm we still have some
collapsed trees to overcome. Moving with the stream we will reach the blue
trail of Zbrzyca which connects on Ksi??e
Lake. At the beginning of
the lake there are sandbanks.
