Individual kayak tour at Czarna Hańcza river
The begining of the river is in Virgin Forests of Augustów, where you will meet a real wild nature. In the vilage Rygol Czarna Hańcza streams in chanels and becomes a part of Chanel of Augustów. Thats the place on wich you can relax and surrender to the river while having a conversation with with other canoeists.
Unfortunately Wigry Lake is at your route. Because of it's proportions it is quite dangerous. When the wind blows the waves are similar to those on the Gulf of Gdańsk.
On kayak tour at Czarna Hańcza, you need to taste some regional delicacies such as cheese, honey, cucumbers and rolls with berries.
For a short kayak tour we propose:
1st day: Stary Folwark - Maćkowa Ruda /14 km
2nd day: Maćkowa Ruda - Głęboki Bród /14 km
To Stary Folwark you will get by bus PKS from Suwałki. If you travel by car you can leave it safely near the starting point at the camping site (costs about 12 zł/day). You can also leave it in Żarnowo at Mr. Robert Dzieniszewski, we will take drivers from there to the starting point.
4 day kayak tour
1st day: Stary Folwark - Maćkowa Ruda /14 km
2nd day: Maćkowa Ruda - Głęboki Bród /14 km
3rd day: Głęboki Bród - Łośki /14 km
4th day: Łośki - Mikaszówka /12 km
Behind the floogate in Mikaszówka Chanel of Augutów starts.
You will need about 6-7 days to swim whole Czarna Hańcza river with tha Chanel of Augustów.
